Casa olmeda holiday home
Propreitors: mick aspden and elaine lagano would like to welcome you to Casa olmeda oliva Valencia Spain. If you want to escape high rise hotels, disco, lager louts and crowded beaches, if you want to sample the 'real' spain, then this is the place for you. You can be sure of a warm welcome at Casa Olmeda, Motorcyclists are also welcome
CASA OLMEDA is situated in the delightful historic old town of oliva, local shops (small supermarket, butcher,baker, etc) are within 5 minutes walk.
Oliva is about half way between Valencia and Alicante (75 km from Valencia airport and 100 km from Alicante airport) and is surrounded by orange and lemon groves. it is situated on the lesser-known Costa Azahar (Orange Blossom Coast) just north of the Costa Blanca. Oliva is a real spanish town, not just a holiday resort.
Oliva comprises three separate parts. the old town which is mainly residential and dates back to the 15th century is very picturesque with narrow winding streets leading up towards an old castle perched on a hilltop.
The main (new) town is a more modern development and is approximately 10 minutes' walk from the apartment. here you will find the main shopping area including large supermarkets and daily covered market for fresh produce.There is also an excellent open market, which is held every friday.There is a wide variety of bars restaurants and take away outlets.
Oliva beach forms a third part and lies beyound the new town of Oliva. There is a long sandy beach which is 2 miles away from Casa Olmeda (45 minutes walk few minutes by car or local bus) in the height of the season oliva beach offers restaurants, cafes, beach bars and pedallos for hire. the bathing is very safe and the beach well patrolled. Foot showers and car parking are free.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
Cleaning materials, toilet rolls, electricity, butane gas and washing machine are all provided. Also included is the loan of all bed linen, towels, tea towel, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas. the appartment is equipped with an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, radio/cd player, dvd player, books and board games. All you have to do is pack your clothes and dvds/cds.
A welcome pack awaits your arrival and this comprises eggs, milk, bread, butter, soft drinks, bottled water, tea, coffee, sugar, wine and beer
THE ACCOMADATION.
The accomadation comprises three double bedrooms.Two with double beds,one with two singles.A cot for baby is also available(not cot linen).There is a shower room with large shower,wash basin and wc.There is also a seperate wc and wash basin. The large kitchen is fully fitted and well equipped with full sized cooker(butane gas),microwave and fridgefreezer.There is a laundery room leading off the kitchen and a washing machine is provided.Beach chairs,umbrellas,beachgames.bodyboards,inflatables etc available on free loan.
The huge living room contains lounge dining and occasional furniture.Plus one sofabed,Books,Games,Maps,tourist information,CD and DVD player are also provided.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS.
There are two 18-hole and two 9-hole golf coures within 10 min's drive .Water sports,tennis,indoor and outdoor pools,cycle hire,horse riding,go-karting and quad biking are all available in the Oliva area.
Benidorm with its many attractions is a 40 min's drive away.Situated in this area are Mundomar(a marine park with dolphin shows),Aqualandia(a water park with several pool's,rides & slides)and the largest theme park in the mediterranean called Terra Mitica.
Inland from Oliva there is a safari park about a 20 mins drive.For fantastic scenery,drive inland to guddalest and Fonts d'Algar.Within walking distance from Guadalest is the most incredable wild animal sanctuary called El Arca.
Denia is 10 miles to the south where there is a ferry to the balearic Islands and short pleasure boat rides,Gandia,which is 5 miles north,has a lovely pedestrainised shopping area and huge beach.Valencia race track is also only 1hour away for any superbike enthusiastes.
GETTING HERE
The two nearest airports are Valencia and Alicante (approx 1hr or 75mins drive respectively).Jet2.com-Easyjet and Ryanair now have a service to Valencia.We also will provide a pick up and drop off service for up to 4 people for an extra fee or can arrange for a taxi pick-up service for more than 4 people if required.
CAR HIRE>
Car hire is very cheap in Spain (as is fuel)and can be booked through the airline you are flying with,a car is essential in order for you to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and its many attractions.
LETTING PERIODS
We are extremely flexible regarding are letting periods.Flights can be much cheaper on week days so you can begin/finish your holiday whenever it suits you.You do not have to book in complete weeks i.e you can have a 8, 10 or 12 day holiday.Prices would be pro rota are weekly rate.

once you have decided to book your holiday with us, please either telephone or email your reservation, your booking will then be pencilled in our diary for 10 days.within this 10 day period you should confirm your reservation in writing,enclosing a cheque for your deposit (£75 per week)the deposit is non refundable. and should be paid in full 6 weeks before the commencement of your stay or paid in full if booked 8weeks or less.again once paid non refundable( a small deposit of E50 will be required upon arrival to be returned to you upon your departure):- this covers any damages etc.We advise you take out holiday insurance to cover any unexpected cancellation.make payable to m.j. aspden and e.c lagano.
